Blessed are we...
Blessed are we
Whose family and friends are safe and well in a world unforgiving
Blessed are we
Who have our mothers- whose unconditional love although hidden during times of anger is ever present
Blessed are we,
Who remember our mothers, whose memories both sweet and fond are forever etched onto our hearts…
Blessed are we,
To learn the art of forgiveness- for without this, upon your shoulders will forever be the heaviest of burdens
Blessed are we,
To learn compassion- to be able to walk in the footsteps of others before you answer a question or accusation in anger and defence
Blessed are we,
To remain humble in a world of steep differences
Blessed are we,
To have the ability to be the bigger person in battles fought
Blessed are we
For at times putting our pride on the shelf, for it can always be retrieved, though each time more modest
Blessed are we
To see life for all it's obstacles, arguments, wonderful and cruel moments, as lessons well learned and needed
Blessed are we
Who choose to be kind to each other, through all our virtues, mistakes and moments of strengths and weaknesses
Blessed are we, who gain wisdom and impart with it when needed...
Blessed are we…
